My Tips for today;
Keep your website updated. Often during the year update addresses, emails, phone #s other locations, events, etc. Make yourself look updated and active and professional. (I have to take my own advice, too.)
As I search other websites, sometimes their info is not updated. At the footer of the website page remember to update to the current year. Make sure the map (if you have one) on your website has your correct business address noted. Make sure all the links work that go to other pages or websites. Same with having an address on your Google Business Profile.
Create a Google Business profile (previously ‘Google My Business’ ) This is how people will google keywords or your biz name and find the biz location or other details about your business. Set up a profile and put in correct business info asap, because it can be a problem if you try to up date it often. Some older businesses are still noted in Google maps. (Delete your older business if you have one on google my biz. ) This can be done after you have a website or social media presence when you have everything mostly in place. And keep aware of reviews that customers leave & respond accordingly.
Tips not in video: Google has to verify your business which can be a longer process. If you try to update details it can take awhile. So only change details if its really needed. Verification can be a video walk through of your location, or a text to your business #, or email verification.
